in one way or another, they are all people of influence…
so i am reading this older book called ”becoming a person of influence” by John C. Maxwell. and Jim Dornan, and i began to realize something about people. ALL people.
If your life in any way connects with other people, you are an influencer. So that qualifies everybody. A pastor, father, mother, lawyer, doctor, assistant, teacher, etc. and until you realize that you do incfluence people the level at which you do so may suffer!
so no matter who you are or what you have done, you will influence people. In a good way or a bad way, there is always someone watching you and taking what they see and applying it to their life!
so here i sit as a pastor…. having thought before that because i carry a title as a pastor, that my main influence is in the pulpit. Boy was I way off. I use to think this way, and act this way, ahhhhh kinda scary! I have learned alot in my short few years in full time ministry, (thank God he gives us a learning curve)
here is one important priciple i have learned.
Influence is more than a message…. its a way of life…
title is only level one of influence so if thats your numer one reason for influence is because you have a title of a leader! WATCH OUT! there are 4 more levels of influence you need to get!
